Mindfulness Coaching

You are awareness, presence itself. But sometimes it can seem like softness, relaxation, and freedom are foreign concepts. If you've ever even considered a life lived in the present moment, you know how impossible presence can seem when debilitating emotions or overwhelming feelings arise.

I’m here to show you how simple presence can transform even the most exhausting and Predictable life of suffering.

Does it feel like the whole world is built against sensitivity, balance, and authenticity so that self-acceptance, love, and presence seem far out of reach? If you know the darkest parts of existence, things like trauma, anxiety, and depression, then it might seem like a joke, or even offensive, to hear that these darkest corners of the human experience can actually be helpful along the path of peace.

Are you ready to be amazed by how simple it is to transform trauma through the practice of mindfulness? Just by giving it our full attention as a part of our human experience, the triggers begin to weaken. These mentorships give you a dedicated space to practice this basic act of self-care with lots of practices, skills, and tools to make the work of accepting and transcending trauma simple and sustainable.

You deserve to thrive, not to live your whole life in survival mode, struggling just to get by and engage with life as a “normal” person. Trauma, loss, and hardship are a fact of life, but they don't need to define us. If you are struggling to function or fear you might get to the point where things fall apart, then let's talk about a mindfulness mentorship program.

How often can you find the space to enjoy simple things like your in and out breaths? It is so hard to slow down in our modern world and even find a moment just to breathe. If life is made up of simple things and little moments, how much are you missing because of your constant cravings for something better and your habitual resistance to what life brings?

Being fully present allows us the freedom to have better relationships our emotions, other people, and the world.
When we are present, our relationships are automatically more full of true love, satisfaction, intimacy, and happiness. This way of being whole is actually a radical act of healing in today's world.

With mindfulness you are free from your habitual way of reacting to life.

When you are present to your whole human experience, you easily become an expert in self-care. You learn how to engage directly and honestly with the world. You can experience truly loving yourself, just as you are, life becomes about unconditionally nourishing yourself in a deeper and more fulfilling way.

By witnessing life through the lens of mindfulness, you can gain a deep sense of embodiment as you learn to engage with life through all of your senses.
As you practice this, you will experience an increasingly profound relationship with the subtle aspects of life, which is regenerative to the point of bordering on the miraculous.

You can learn the ancient science and philosophy of how to:

  • Experience the pure power of loving kindness and compassion

  • Calm the nervous system and shift the effects of trauma (especially PTSD)

  • Meet your own need for safety by turning within to discover self-empowerment

Together, we will develop your ability to engage with life as consciousness itself.

You will learn the keys to strengthening the power of your awareness using these three
skills which comprise the power of mindfulness:

  • Focused Attention (Concentration)

  • Open Monitoring (Present Moment Awareness)

  • Acceptance (Non-Judgement)

You will free yourself from suffering and develop an unshakable inner peace using loving kindness, compassion, and attunement to the inner experience.

Over the last fifteen years I have experienced first hand how the lasting and powerful impacts of these practices form lead the way to freedom from suffering. I take inspiration for my practice from the Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and other Buddhist teachers, but mindfulness is completely non-dogmatic and suitable for any belief system.

Equanimity is an unshakable ability to unconditionally and peacefully accept whatever life brings, it is the fruit of our mindfulness practice, a source of limitless strength.

Mindfulness takes time to develop but you can absolutely experience a way of engaging with life and the world that permits you to have your difficult feelings and still be happy, too. You can very easily learn to connect with the feeling of neutral awareness and connect with the present moment where your true nature and all of the conditions required to be happy are always available.

Yes, life brings difficult emotions to process, and you can learn to transform these into happiness. No matter how much abuse you have experienced, you can still experience joy, because it is your true nature.
Shining the light of your awareness on pain is all you need in order to begin to transform it.

a deep sense of belonging to the present moment, all fear slips away, unconditional love, wholeness

Going about your day with peace, groundedness, and loving presence is one way you can already start to make the world a better place.

As a highly sensitive person who survived an abusive childhood, I have always struggled with the threat of overwhelm, shutting down, and dissociating. It wasn't until I learned to mindfully engage with the world that I could feel sovereign and begin to love myself.  My life used to be characterized by anger, fear, and despair, but today I can truly say that I experience happiness, joy, and delight thanks to the deep and honest work of being fully present with my pain. Mindfulness has been the essential tool that has contributed the most towards my recovery from Complex PTSD. The mindfulness journey is not all "love and light," but it does provide you the tools to transform absolutely anything into fuel for the fire of liberation from suffering.
